Educative Les Petits Amis
La Garderie Éducative des Petits Amis is a subsidized daycare that has met the needs of children, ages 18 months to 5 years old, and their families in the town of Sainte Genevieve for almost 40 years. At La Garderie Éducative des Petits Amis, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder and discovery. Our caring educators create meaningful experiences that encourage learning through play, exploration and imagination. We focus on helping children build confidence, develop social skills and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Education Program
The Early Childhood Education Program is a comprehensive and balanced learning curriculum designed to help our students become confident, resourceful, and adaptable learners through play.
Our pedagogical program focuses on enhancing the children’s verbal and literacy skills, building confidence and self-esteem, and preparing them to become engaged members of a caring community.
Social Skills
The educational program fosters creativity, autonomy, self-expression and collaboration in a nurturing environment to encourage your child’s social and emotional development through:

Conceptual Development
Our guided play activities promote movement, choice and repetition to foster creativity and autonomy. Children also practice spacial, time, and number concepts to give them an advantage in reading and math through:

- organizing, assembling and deconstructing
- expressing and observing

Intellectual Stimulation
We provide activities to foster intellectual, memory and English and French language development through:

Twice a year, we’ll provide you with a detailed report on your child’s development at the centre. Along with 4 parent & teacher consultations a year, you’ll rest easy knowing your child is being prepared for school life.
The First Day
The first day can be a source of anxiety for children and parents alike. But thanks to our integration program, your child will be gently and gradually introduced into their new environment.
We begin with an introductory meeting between the parents and our director. Following that parents return with their children to introduce them to the centre and their teachers.
The integration process is designed to minimize the trauma young children sometimes experience in a new environment. Parents are welcome to check in on their child at any time, or even stay for the day!
